Frequently Asked Questions

What is a baby spa?

Exactly what it sounds like: a spa experience designed especially for babies.

Each session begins with a short photo opportunity while babies are awake and settled, capturing lovely moments. This is followed by an individual baby spa bath and finishes with a gentle wind down massage, supported by soft sensory lighting and calming music. The session is designed to encourage relaxation and often helps babies settle into a good nap.

How long is the session?

Each baby spa session lasts 60 minutes.

Is there an age limit?

Baby spa sessions are suitable for babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months.

What should I bring to the session?

Please bring your usual changing bag items.

We also recommend bringing a sleep suit or simple outfit, as babies are often tired by the end of the session. Everything else needed for the baby spa experience is provided.

Can I bring a ‘plus one’?

You are welcome to bring another adult with you.

Older siblings aged 4 years and over may also attend, provided they are respectful of other guests and the calm environment.

What if my baby has just been immunised?

Please allow a minimum of 48 hours after routine immunisations before attending a session.

Due to the nature of the Rotavirus vaccine, babies must wait 14 days after receiving the Rotavirus immunisation before attending a baby spa session. This vaccine is given orally at 8 and 12 weeks of age, and the virus can be passed through nappies and surfaces during this time.

Does my baby need to wear a swim nappy?

Swim nappies are not required, but you are welcome to use one if you prefer.

We understand that accidents can happen, and all baby spa baths and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between sessions.

What if my baby is fussy?

Please do not worry if your baby is unsettled on the day. This is completely normal.

Baby spa sessions are baby led. If your baby needs feeding, changing, cuddles or a break, please do so. The session will move on naturally, and your baby is welcome to rejoin whenever they are ready. There is no expectation for babies to be quiet or take part in anything they do not wish to do.

How do you use photography?

Photos may be taken during sessions for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish for photos of yourself or your baby to be used in this way, please indicate this on the booking form. Where consent is not given, any identifying features will be blurred or images will not be used.

Parents are welcome to take photos of their own baby during the session. If you share photos on social media, we kindly ask that you focus on your own child and respect the privacy of others.

Can I cancel or rearrange my booking?

Due to the nature of the business, bookings are non refundable.

Where possible, we may be able to rearrange your session or allow it to be gifted to a friend or family member, provided you contact us at least 48 hours in advance. Rearranged sessions are subject to availability and must take place within the next two months.

Full details can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

What massage oil do you use?

We use Good Bubble coconut oil during massage sessions. A patch test will be carried out on arrival.

Grapeseed oil is available on request, and you are welcome to bring your own massage oil if preferred.

What if my baby has a skin condition such as eczema?

We use eczema friendly products; however, a patch test is required before massage to minimise the risk of any reaction.

If you already use a product that suits your baby’s skin, you are welcome to bring it with you.

Late arrivals

We understand that delays can happen.

If you arrive late, we are unable to extend or reschedule the session time. Your session will continue as planned, and we will do our best to capture photos within the remaining time.

Sessions follow a set structure, beginning with photos, followed by the baby spa and finishing with the wind down massage. If any part of the photography is missed due to late arrival, we may not be able to recreate it later in the session.

Mobile phones

To maintain a calm and focused environment, we kindly ask that:

  • Mobile phones are set to silent before entering

  • Phone calls are not taken during the session
