Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at The Baby Spa?
Each 60-minute experience includes time for photos, your baby's warm bubbling spa bath and a gentle wind-down massage. Everything is baby-led, with time for feeds, cuddles and breaks whenever needed.
What age can babies attend?
Regular Baby Spa experiences are suitable from 6 weeks to 12 months, with selected special experiences available up to 18 months.
What if my baby cries or doesn't want to take part?
Please don't worry. Babies cry!
There is absolutely no expectation for your baby to be quiet, happy or participate in everything.
If they need feeding, changing, cuddling or simply want a break, that's exactly what you should do. You have your own individual spa station, so you can follow your baby's lead without worrying about what anyone else is doing.
Does my baby need a swim nappy?
No. Swim nappies aren't required, although you're welcome to use one if you prefer.
Accidents happen! All baths and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between sessions.
What if my baby has recently had their immunisations?
Please wait at least 48 hours after routine immunisations before attending.
For the Rotavirus vaccine, please wait 14 days before attending a Baby Spa session.
What massage oil do you use?
We use Good Bubble coconut oil and carry out a patch test before massage.
Grapeseed oil is also available on request, or you're welcome to bring a product you already use with your baby.
Can my baby attend if they have eczema or sensitive skin?
Yes, in many cases they can.
We'll carry out a patch test before using our massage product. If your baby already has a product that works well for their skin, you're very welcome to bring it with you.

Can I take photos?
Absolutely. We want you to capture this little memory.
You're welcome to photograph and video your own baby throughout the experience. We just ask that you respect the privacy of other families and keep them out of your photographs where possible.
We may also take photographs or videos during sessions for Bubble Babies' website and social media. You can opt out of this on your booking form.
What happens if I'm late?
We know getting anywhere on time with a baby isn't always easy.
Unfortunately, we can't extend sessions because this would delay the families attending after you.
Our experience begins with photos, followed by the spa bath and then massage. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you may miss some or all of the photo experience. We don't move photography to the end because babies are often beautifully relaxed and sleepy by then.
Can I cancel or rearrange?
Bookings are non-refundable.
If you contact us at least 48 hours before your session, we may be able to move your booking to another available session within the following two months, or you can gift your booking to a friend or family member.

Can I use my phone during the session?
Yes, and you'll definitely want it for photos and videos.
We just ask that phones are kept on silent and calls aren't taken in the Baby Spa room so that everyone can enjoy the calm atmosphere.
