Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need To Know
What is a baby spa?
Exactly what it sounds like: a spa for babies! In the experience, each baby will first partake in a photo session at our unique Bubble Babies photo station while wide awake, capturing adorable moments. After this, they will enjoy their own individual baby spa bath, followed by a guided nurturing wind down massage with sensory light display and soothing music, perfect for encouraging a good nap.
How long is the session?
Each session lasts 60 minutes.
Is there an age limit?
Bubble Babies welcomes babies after their 6 weeks check up to 12 months.
What should I bring to the session?
You should bring your usual changing bag items. We would also advise that you bring a sleep suit, to make it easier to dress your baby at the end of the session. Bubble Babies will provide everything else you will need for your spa and massage experience.
Can I bring a 'plus one'?
You are more than welcome to bring another adult with you to the spa and massage experience. You may also bring older siblings aged 4 and up, provided that they respect other guests' experiences.
What if my baby has just been immunised?
Please wait a minimum of 48 hours after immunisation before attending the spa and massage experience. Although we pride ourselves on how thoroughly we sanitise all of our equipment between sessions, due to the nature of the services we offer babies must wait 14 days after receiving the Rotavirus immunisation before attending a session. The Rotavirus vaccine is given orally (by mouth) at 8 and 12 weeks of age. Due to this method of administration, the virus can pass through your baby's gut and be transferred to whoever changes their nappy as well as onto surfaces.
Does my baby need to wear a swim nappy?
It is not necessary for your baby to wear a swim nappy, although you are more than welcome to put your little one in one if you prefer. We understand that accidents can happen, but all of our whirlpool baths are thoroughly cleaned between sessions in any case.
What if my baby is fussy?
The purpose of the spa and massage experience is for both parent and baby to relax and bond, so please do not worry in the slightest if your baby is fussy on the day. We understand that this is a normal part of parenting and that it is not in a baby's nature to be quiet all of the time. Regardless, we are confident that both you and your baby will still greatly benefit from the experience.
How do we use photography?
Bubble Babies occasionally takes photographs for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to have any photos of yourself or your baby used in this way, please let us know during the booking process by writing in the appropriate checkbox. We will ensure that any photos of you and your baby are blurred for our social media.
We also encourage you to share your own photos from the experience on social media. We’d be thrilled if you tagged us on Instagram @bubblebabies_spa_massage and on Facebook @Bubble Babies Spa & Massage. Alternatively, you can send your photos to us, and we’ll post them on our social media. We kindly ask that you focus your photos on your own child and respect the privacy of others.
Can I cancel or rearrange bookings?
We do not allow cancellations, given the operating constraints of our small business. However, we will try to rearrange your session if possible, and you may also gift your session to a friend or family member, providing that you contact Bubble Babies at least 48 hours in advance at hello@bubblebabies.co.uk to notify us. Specials can only be rearranged for a normal session due to take place within the next two months, subject to availability.
What is in your massage oil?
We currently use coconut oil from Good Bubble in our massage treatments. A patch test will be required as a priority upon arrival. Grapeseed oil is also available on request. If you have a different preference, you are welcome to bring your own massage oil.
What if my baby has a skin condition such as eczema?
We use eczema-friendly oils during our spa and massage experiences. However, we do require a patch test on your baby before beginning the massage to minimise the risk of any adverse reaction. If you have a massage oil or lotion that you already use and are happy with, you’re very welcome to bring it along.
What measures are you taking in relation to Covid-19?
We see a maximum of five babies at one time in our spa and massage sessions, and our stations are placed at a minimum of two metres apart. We also provide sanitisation facilities, and all towels, robes and flannels are washed after every use, as are all baths and accessories.

Late Arrivals
We understand that delays can happen, and we always aim to be as accommodating as possible. However, please note that if you arrive late for your session, we are unable to extend or reschedule the allocated time. Your session will continue as planned, and we will do our very best to capture your photos within the remaining time.
Our sessions follow a set schedule, beginning with spa photos, followed by the baby spa experience, and concluding with the wind down massage. If any part of the photography is missed due to late arrival, we will make every effort to capture key moments; however, the photo session is subject to strict time constraints to ensure fairness to all families booked throughout the day.
